Cold

    I suffer from chronic pain I have been on fentnyl fof 1p year and was cut off cold turkey I will be starting bad withdrawal symptoms by tomorrow I am 51 years old I have little money and not support from anyone
    I need some advice I have withdrawn from heroin years ago and am so afraid to withdrawl.I am told that fentnyl withdrawal is wsy worse I was thinking of stabbing myself to them go to hospital Thoughts????

    @Doomed... The doctor who cut you off from Fentanyl cold turkey should never have done so. That is reckless. I would get in touch with an addiction specialist and ask them to help you wean off of it. If you can't do that, go to the hospital and explain your situation. Tell them you want to be weaned off the Fentanyl or go to detox. I'm pretty sure they'll be able to help you. But please don't harm yourself. You don't have to do that in order to get help.

    Hj I was told At a clinic that the hospital will not give me controlled substances I'm thinking of stabbing myself by putting a knife on my torso and hitting it with a hammer. Thankyou for getting back to me.

    Hurting yourself is not the way to go about solving your problem. Go to the American Society of Addiction Medicine's website, use their "Find a Doctor" tool, and find a doctor in your area. Then make an appointment with them. They can help you. Here's the link:

    Or go to a detox facility and explain your situation to them. They will be able to make you comfortable while you detox.

    Again, hurting yourself is not the solution.

    I live in canada and have been told that it's a waste of time going to the hospital I have no support system no one to rslk to except you.I am not suicidal and i dont wanr to hurt myself but it will hurt more to go cold turkey

    No need to apologize. And you're welcome. There appear to be a lot of options for help in Ontario. Try to contact one ASAP.

    Ya well I just got ripped off for $40.00 for a pill I refuse to go back to that lifestyle Since being on fentnyl my life has improved dramatically I now own my home 2 vehicles and have held a job for the longest time in my ljfe and for the first time in 20 years have been able to work at all.
    i will end it before I have to sell all of my posseions (again)
