I never thought I'd be sober. I partied hard during college, and was in a metal band after that. Drinking and drugs were just a normal part of day to day life. One day though, I was married with kids, but I never gave up the lifestyle. It catches up to you. When your wife threatens to divorce you and take away your kids, you have to make that choice. It wasn't easy, but I've been sober for two years and my relationship with my wife has never been better. I sometimes have dreams where I've relapsed, and wake up in a cold sweat like it was a nightmare. I'm new around here, but I hope to share my experiences and maybe give some advice on how I managed to keep going strong this long.
