I remember the first cell phone I got was a brick! Now we have these fancy smartphones and other then the power and volume buttons, I don't have to worry about mashing buttons multiple times because jkl is sharing the same button. Unless forced to, I'm not going to a flip phone. Though life tends to be busy so I can't be on Facebook all day.
I am not really "addicted" to my smartphone and I'm usually good to sit it down and pay attention to people around me. I've been around people who aren't so good at that however.
My mom actually owns an old phone, because she could never learn how to handle a smart phone. I'd give her mine once I get a new phone, but I don't think it's a good idea. Smartphones are highly addictive, and she doesn't really understands technology that well. Plus she says she only wants a phone she can make and receive calls with. As fro me? Well, I do need a smartphone, it's so useful to pass the time while at house of your in laws.
