I have not personally been caught up in this mess, but I have ignorantly used non-prescribed adderall in my teens and can easily see how one can become obsessed with it. Adderall gave me more focus and motivation than anything I've ever done. It all seems great, but what people don't realize is that it can definitely be addicting. If you are taking adderall, let's say every day for a month, by the time that month is over and you have none left, you will feel even worse than you did before you started. Why? Your body is used to having this extra mental boost, and now that it's gone your brain is affected in a big way. Like I said, I haven't personally gone through this, but I have a couple friends that were obviously strung out on Addy and Vyvanse both, neither of them with a prescription. They hate to go a single day without these pills.
