We have friends and family members who are addicts. When people see us together, they conclude we are birds of the same feather and must be addicts as well.

Has anyone judged you for associating or being related to an addict? Please share.

As it's generally an accepted fact that people who like the same things will often spend more time together, if you hang out with drug addicts then someone who doesn't know you well will make the assumption that you are an addict as well.

I've had someone offer to buy me a drink because he knew I have friends who are alcoholics. It didn't surprise me though.
