I'm placing this here because, while her death was not directly related to drugs, it is known that she struggled with addiction during her lifetime. She followed the path her mother went down...right down to the incident in the bathtub which many are calling suspicious circumstances. So many young stars or family members of stars get caught up in substance abuse - the high profile life style, the ease of access to illegal and legal substances. It seems the odds are set against them from day one.
Just read it a few minutes ago and I still can't believe she never recovered from the first time she hit the news several months ago, but was going from hospital to hospital instead. As it was said where the news comes from, Bobbi, her father and mother turned into a tragic, failed family. So sad for a young girl wanting to follow her mother's steps in the showbiz.
I also just saw this in the news. It seemed like it had been heading down that path for a while but I was still shocked to hear that she had passed away. It's so sad - 22 years old! That's too young to pass away. It sounds like her life was one of extremes - and from all accounts she was incredibly close to her mother and was inconsolable after she died, I'm wondering if that impact had something to do with it all.
This is the first I’m hearing of it. What a tragic end to this tale. It always seemed as though she was trapped in that vicious cycle that fame and fortune can sometimes become. It’s a real shame she was unable to break free of it while she was still alive, but at least she’s no longer suffering.
I have just heard the news earlier, and yeah, it's too bad she died same way her mother did. Well, it's just a proof that these kinds of addictions will never do any good to people, and whether you are rich or not, famous or not, you can be a victim of these drugs.
Just heard about in the news and I must say it's pretty sad when you think about how many celebrities have died because their poor lifestyle choices. Being a celebrity sure takes a toll on your and they probably cope with it in the worst way possible: doing drugs. Hopefully addicts get alerted by this.
It is sad to hear. But I have to say the writing was on the wall. Look at both of her parents. Growing up in the household might have lead her to addiction. Their addictive ways might of been passed down to her. We don't really know but the cards were stacked against her.
I'm just reading this now. So sad. And to think she was just 22 years old when she passed away. Sometimes I wonder what happiness exists for celebrities apart from their money and fame. There is so much tragedy in their lives that I wonder if they are ever happy.
This is a sad, sad story. Such a young lady with so much life a head of her. But in her young years she had seen more then most children ever would have. She lived a life that no child should have to. It breaks my heart.
I was saddened by the story when I remember what happened to her mother. Bobby Brown is one my best musicians. May God rest her soul in eternal peace.
There's no doubt that this is sad news, but I was listening to a family friend who gave an interview and said at the end of the day, what happened was inevitable. Growing up in that environment, surviving that and then trying to live up to Whitney Houston's legacy was always going to be tough for anybody. The pressure that brought on her was intense, and the media had a part to play in her death She was a good singer, but was never going to be able to be as good as her mother. She tried her hand at acting but was never going to be as good as her mother. You can see where the complex came from. For me, her biggest mistake was not living her own life and trying to find her own path in life. She was always trying to live up to her mother's standards and carry on that legacy, instead of creating her own. R.I.P
I heard the news yesterday and I was hoping that she would recover. I do feel sorry for her and the whole situation because there is still speculation about what really happened to her. She was way too young.
I heard today on the radio that her death is currently being called a homocide, that no factors contributing to her death were found during autopsy. Her boyfriend/fiancé is considered a person of interest in her death criminally and I believe he is already facing a civil suit from the family. Her family claims he was keeping her from seeing them and controlling her in order to gain access to her money. Apparently, she was about to enter rehab for addiction just around the time she was found drown in the bath tub. It sounds like this is going to be an ongoing investigation for quite a while. I hope justice is eventually served if there was wrongdoing in her death.
Oh my! And you see they say Bobbi was so in need of her mother as Whitney needed and loved her mom Cissy. I bet Cissy was for Bobbi the ultimate refugee she could look at after her mom passed and her dad keeps going the wrong way. So it's incredible that a man who said to love her have kept her away of her family just to maker sure his plans to put hands-on her money with impediments. At least Bobbi will now rest by the side of Whitney, together again beyond death.
Brown's passing is incredibly tragic, especially considering how her mother passed away. It wasn't unexpected after how long she's been receiving treatment and care from that incident, though. If you believe in the afterlife, then she's more than likely in a better place with her mother right now. If not, then at least neither her nor her mother are suffering after passing away.
This was heartbreaking to read. I remember someone post a remark that was so painfully true - Bobbi Kristina had the opportunity to be the redemption for her late mother who succumb to her addiction. Sighs, as someone who is recovering from her own issues with alcoholism, I know addiction can be hard. I remember Bobbi Kristina when I was growing up in the 90s because I was and still am a fan of Whitney. Sighs, she had a host of issues that will remain unknown to the public - as it should be - and being in the public glare with 2 parents who had their own issues with addictions ... I can't imagine what her world was like. Not to mention, she was incredibly close to her mom and losing her was likely the force that started Bobbi Kristina's more drastic use of drugs, if this is the case.
I was also shocked when I saw this on the news. I knew she had issues with drugs but I never expected she would die this way and this young. Whitney Houston's death is still fresh on people's minds until now, and now this tragic thing also happened to her daughter. It's really a sad fate for both mother and daughter.
I was reading about her death some days ago, her family seems more concerned about who will get this girl money rather than grieve the loss of her young one. It's both so sad and sickening at the same time, I feel so sorry for this girl, she lost her mother while she was still so young... she needed her to love her and guide her. I doubt she was loved while she lived, her family seems so cold... a bunch of gold diggers...
It's so tragic that Bobbi Kristina didn't survive, but at least she's in a better place now. I also think that this was a poorly planned homicide and not as a result of drug abuse. Reports have said that she was looking happy and just got a tattoo on the day that she was found on the bathtub.
