China's drug factories

A friend turned me on to this article and it really shook me up.

It seems China is exporting mind boggling amounts of brand new drugs we have no laws against and little knowledge of.
The worst part is there are so many new kinds of this garbage getting dreamt up each and every day, how are we supposed to fight it??

Can't do much about it. China, and to a lesser extent the Middle East, export an insane amount of shady drugs that can be potentially dangerous, even lethal, but usually it takes years before western governments take notice, try to regulate them, outlaw them, test them etc. The solution to this is tighter controls in drug-producing countries, and that is beyond our control unfortunately.

This is shocking and the ones who order these drugs may lose their money if the package is seized and the company does not send another parcel and the prices are really high, and there must be inside people who are getting paid to let the drugs enter the country. The war on drugs is a hard battle and people will sell themselves for the drug even and not worry about the risks and harm this can cause which is shocking, and the health of the body which can be affected from this and the person can lose their life. I reckon that this will be a tough battle as there is corruption and also bribery involved in things like this and people want to profit from it which can make the mind turn around and not think of the harmful affects.

Right exactly. This and the fact that anytime one substance is banned or made illegal, these drug factories simply come up with a new formula that we don't know about yet.

This is truly shocking to me . Now a days people will just come up with stuff if one thing gets banned. Kind of like what happened with alcohol when it got banned. People just started making their own alcohol and then "speak easy" type of places started coming up. I know someone is being bribed in all of this and they care more about the money than the people who could get hooked to this stuff they are letting into the country.

Oh, Americans, so naive. You know there is a saying that every problem has at least three solutions. So this drug related issue with China is a big problem but bigger problem is not how to stop it but who is getting his slice of cake in order not to stop it. Do you really believe a nation as strong as USA will not be able to stop Chinese importing illegal drugs ? It is only a matter of will and how big their cut is going to be. It is horrible to have any other drugs when we already have these killing our children and youth.

I think at this point the US should step up and make laws that ban the use of these very new drugs for the good of everyone. They might not be able to seize every package that contains the drugs, but at least the people that are importing it and the buyers can be punished by the law.

I don't buy it that the police can't stop it. Its being allowed. I guess if they send it through the mail. There is no way to monitor it really. Its just blatant stupidity on this country's part by allowing foreign trade in the first place. Let alone large amounts of new drugs.

I think that is also true to other countries not just in the US. Just like here, lots of Chinese drugs are around without approval from bureau of food and drugs here. Those also have labels without English translations or cannot be understood.

Agreed. Hopefully they are working hard on it.
My concern is that they cannot act fast enough before new forms of this garbage enter the country.

We all knew that drugs are already rampant in various countries of the world. As long as there are those who are importing and exporting this kind of toxic substances in illegal ways drugs will always be there everywhere. And no matter how tight the government is doing to prevent this but still drugs is out of control.

It's China, I am not surprised. Drugs like flakka are already awful drugs with terrible and scary effects, but abusing a substance made in China sounds way worse. I'm trying to avoid Chinese products as much as I can for the same reason, they just don't care about health standards...

It's really upsetting to see how these types of drugs are gaining such an easy entrance into our country. Any country as a matter of fact. It truly saddens me to think about the large amount of people and families that will be broken and affected all around the world, at the hands of these groups of people that will become rich by serving them this garbage on a platter.
