Man that's awesome. I'm working on that too. Im trying to stop taking everything daily except what I need to balance out my chemicals and im gonna stop fighting the Homeostatic process we cant beat it. Heh The more we smoke the less dopamine we make it's all in vein lol
I have to be 100% honest Wellbutrin is one of my medications at 150 mg a day 24 hours extended release and that is helping me to not want to smoke
Tomorrow morning getting my teeth whitening done since I'm done with cigarettes so no more opiates,no more alcohol,no more cigarettes....Making progress
This is AWESOME, Arthur!! Damn, I'm proud of you!!! Quitting smoking is one thing I've done that I'll never stop being grateful for. It'll be 30 years this October. You are indeed making progress, my friend. You're taking steps to improve yourself, big time. Self-care!! It's so important!! Getting your teeth whitened will be a good way to celebrate! And, just like everything else... One day at a time! Love you, man!!!
I could have never got back here without the support I've received here in this community along the way,thr thro all the bullshit,Up's and down's one thing never changed and that's the endless support and encouragement. I am truly grateful for you and everyone else. P.S.Congrats on the up coming 30 year's cigarette free
@True concern that is wonderful! quitting smoking can be challenging, but so worth it. like dean said, you're practicing big self-care...yay for that! i quit many years ago and it was hard and i relapsed A LOT... but persistence paid off. i've never had a puff since, even when i really wanted to hope your day is good!
Honestly my day is kinda disappointing, went to the dentist, had X-rays done, dentist tells me "Wow you have zero cavities"I've never had one in my life...Then he started pushing my molers with this pick thing until he pushed holes in 5 of them and says "looks like you need 5 fillings"So I asked how could that be the x-rays said zero cavities to which he said"The pick found some" WTF?Then tried to pitch me this "Awesome" payment plan which was BS so I walked out,the only good news is I realize this is one bad day tomorrow should be better so I guess the new meds are working
Ahhhh. The dreaded pick! I hate that thing! You know, I've always wondered about dentists. You could go in there with a mouthful of healthy teeth and they could tell you, "Oh, you've got a cavity in this tooth that needs to be taken care of." And, unless you've got a toothache or something, how are you gonna know? I'm not implying that the vast majority of dentists aren't honest, but I'm betting there are more than a few out there that think, "Hmmmm...I could use a new Porsche. Better step up my cavity-finding game." Just me and the crazy way I think sometimes.
That's exactly what I was thinking, especially since he told me "No cavities from the xrays" then poof I found 5
My best friends mom is a dental assistant so I asked her about it and she said it's not a cavity yet but if you can poke it and its soft its starting to decay. My teeth are terrible luckily I'm american Indian and get free medical and dental.
@True concern glad you got 'em checked out... tough to know who to trust anymore. i hope your day is going better now!
