Ok so somewhere in here I said Yerba Mate tea was a good replacement for coffee and that it had no caffeine. I hadn't tried it. So, I've tried it since. Well it has caffeine. 85 grams of it. I'm not into caffeine, sensitive to it. This is what happens when you take someone's word for it. Guess I should of double checked.
Yeah, there's natural caffeine found in many brewed substances, even green tea which is often suggested as an alternative. Hot water and a slice of lemon might be the safest bet sometimes.....
Never heard of a caffeine free tea as I believe that all tea have caffeine on it. I am a bit aware of that yerba mate tea but have not tried it myself. I prefer tea over coffee and I usually drink hot green tea.
Most teas that are alternatives to coffee do have caffeine. Green tea in my opinion is the best alternative, but it does have a little caffeine. There's less caffeine in green tea but it has a lot more health benefits than coffee . I think this is the best alternative.
I agree with you about green tea - I love it, and it still has a little caffeine so it's not like you're going cold turkey on caffeine (I tried that a few times and got major migraines from it) but like you said there are just so many health benefits from green tea.
I'm glad you mentioned green tea, I am caffeine sensitive and the only thing that I can drink that contains caffeine without having very strong negative effects id green tea. It's a good alternative.
Yeah, pretty much, otherwise it wouldn't have been a coffee replacement. I don't like the taste of coffee so whenever I feel tired I make myself some green tea, much better than all the coffee in the world, haha!
There are some substitutes that do have caffeine, but the addicts cannot feel it because they are used to higher levels of the substance. The fact that you are sensitive to it made you feel its presence, but it is a lot better for those who consume huge amounts of caffeine daily. However, the fact that they told you that it doesn't contain caffeine when it actually did is not very nice.
Yes I believe teas in general do have caffeine in it but no where near like that of coffee. This is great for someone trying to wean themselves off of coffee. Or at least decrease the intake of caffeine and still have a satisfying drink. Maybe you can find some teas made for those who are caffeine sensitive?
Tea and coffee generally have caffeine, so it came as no surprise that Yerba Mate had .85 grams in it. I think you should just opt for that though, at least it does not have that much caffeine content.
Yeah that's true it wasn't very nice considering I haven't had any in many years. It was pretty wild. There's no way I could drink that all the time. I had just heard about it from a girl who I guess was misinformed. It just kind of reminded me of why I don't drink caffeine.
Green tea I've had but just a small cup of it as early as possible. I drank over 20 ounces of this. It just seemed really powerful.
There can never be a perfect replaced for coffee. It is still recommended by some since it has gained popularity with time. People who are sensitive to caffeine can try the Indian tea.
Had a five hour energy the other day for the first time. People make it out to sound like it gets your heart racing and stuff like that but i didn't affect me that much.
On this topic, I recently stopped drinking coffee. Now everyday is nothing but a lasting headache and the feeling of being tired forever.
I need my daily caffeine fix due to the long hours that I put towards my work. There are times when I have to work through the night, and I just couldn't do it without a good cup of coffee beforehand. I have noticed the increase of non-caffeine alternatives on stores shelves, but I haven't bothered to try any of them out.
There are plenty of caffeine free teas. Look them up. There are actually less caffeinated ones than caffeine free ones.
Interesting I have not heard of that tea. Well, I think that its clear caffeine is as said a drug. Its quite a buzz really. I've used other sources for energy that I find much better. Energy drinks with caffeine don't even compare to the yerbe mate. I can actually drink something like monster and it works, its fine. Doesn't really bother me. Of course I still fall asleep with that eventually though. I've used it when I've had to move. Most of the time I stick to more natural sources of energy like vitamin C, iodine, or fruit. This is actually more substantial energy and with no side effects.
Coffee is really very good for you unless you are senstive to the effects of it. I have to wach how much coffee I drink because it has the opotential to keep me up at night, but I think the health effects of coffee far outweigh the negatives. Energy drinks have more caffeine than coffee by and large. I have some of the yerba mate energy drinks now. I dont know if there is additional caffeine or not.
