substance abuse is rampant in both sides of my family and my husbands family. Our 14 year old daughter is struggling with anxiety and depression. About 3 is f her friends smoke marijuana and she sees nothing bad side effects. Without my knowledge or consent my husband and our counselor allowed her to go to a friends house on 3 occasions where marijuana was available and was smoked. She “promised” she would not however e found out that was a lie. She has on at least 2 occasions. Question one—what type of communication does she have with this friend and question 2–how much faith do we put into this counseling r who knowingly thought it was ok to send her back there and no tbtell me?

Marijuana is not a substance that is that bad. Many studies show how it can help with the development of the brain cells and I really think that it is not bad for her depression and anxiety. On the contrary It can help her with that a lot and the best way to control her marijuana usage is to talk to her about it and maybe even giving it to her. The best solution is to grow marijuana at home in hydroponic grow tent. In that way you control what she uses and how much and it is the best way to do it. If you just forbid her to do it she will be smoking every time she is out with friends.
