Well it's used as medicine so I suppose it is a drug. I know a lot of people enjoy the effects of weed. I for one could never smoke the stuff it just really freaked me out. So I stayed clear of it all together.
Yeah, I guess most people think of it as an herbal supplement. Lol that they smoke for pleasure. They aren't going to put a pamphlet in their about the possible side effects. Oh yeah now it's almost legal too. Lol It is going to be like herbal essence shampoo on the shelves at Target. The herbal supplement for encouraging your brain cell growth. See how intelligent you are after a few weeks of smoking it. You will find a huge decline. Maybe they can put some other vitamins in there like some B's. Weed that is a GMO, genetically modified or even completely synthetic. What about those? Is that not a drug? Pharmaceutically enhanced, Lol. This isn't a drug? There are actually completely legal herbs on the shelves of health food stores that you can smoke. Look it up. You wanna smoke something that alters your mind. There's even fruits you can eat that do that or things you can drink to do that, that are legal and safe, for centuries.
Though pro-marijuana advocates may try to do their best to re-name, re-classify and whitewash weed making it appear all safe for use by everyone the fact is cannabis has always been and will always be a psychoactive drug. Since it affects the mind, we can make the assumption that overconsumption can permanently affect the mind negatively.
Weed\marijuana is a drug, if it wasn't a drug it wouldn't be illegal in the majority of the countries. Even if you don't take this into account the fact that it's a psychoactive substance, makes it a drug. Anything that changes your normal state of being can be considered a drug.
I do consider weed a drug. I am not against weed, and I know that it is miles away from being as bad as many other drugs out there. But it is a drug. It makes you high. Lots of things are drugs. Prescriptions, cuff steered ect. Just because they are not as bad as heroin or meth doesn't mean they aren't drugs.
By definition, I guess I would have to consider it a drug, but in my own opinion- not so much. Marijuana is not something I've seen ruin people's lives. When I think of drugs, I think of really intense chemicals that are ruining everything about people's lives. I see drugs as a struggle. I've never seen someone struggle with marijuana.
Since weed can be used for both recreational and medical purposes, and it also can be abused, and make someone addicted, I really consider it as a drug.
I consider it a drug because under it's influence I've done stupid things which I wouldn't do if I was sober. some stoners are afraid to consider weed a drug but I'm not. I also consider weed a drug but I also consider that the drugs you mentioned beside weed are way more dangerous.
I do not consider marijuana a drug either. If your consider if it is a drug or not to her I suggest that you have a talk with her about it. I believe that sometimes individuals just want to unwind and smoke a little bit. To me cigarettes and marijuana are pretty much the same thing only cigarettes are way worse. Also marijuana has become legal in most states so it should be fine.
Strictly speaking I do think of it as a drug, but to me it doesn't quite feel like a drug... at least not one to be worried about. Of course, it depends on what kind marijuana you use, if you use one high in THC and low levels CBD or a synthetic one. It's those small things the ones that can make a big difference. So I'd say for me this questions doesn't have a short simple answer.
Marijuana is classified as a drug, whether you view it that way or not. Marijuana alters consciousness, can induce paranoia, causes negative health effects such as lung problems, memory loss, infertility, and cognitive impairment, and can cause birth defects. Unfortunately, many people do not view it as a drug. Perhaps if they knew more about the negative impacts they would reconsider?
Most people don't consider marijuana a drug but it does impair you for a short time. I think the decriminalization of Marijuana in most states was a reasonable thing to do. Still just like alcohol if something is not done responsibly it can cause problems. You wouldn't want a truck driver high and driving on the beltway transporting something that could be dangerous if a accident happened. I think that marijuana should be legalized under the same restrictions as alcohol.
I consider it as a drug and weed is an illegal drug in here. I think it is better to be that way in here so that people will still have fear of using and avoid being addicted to it.
There are far more worse legal things in the market as of now that are both nocive and vicious and will probably never be illegalized in the near future, and marijuana is for a reason or another. It's probably illegal because, well, it's too good for your health and it kills off the pharmaceutical industry. Could be.
It depends on how much you use. If you use it on a regular basis and can't survive without the use of it, then it is definitely a drug. On the other hand, if you're able to go on without it and use it only on a casual basis, then it is not one.
I definitely consider weed a drug. It may not be the most dangerous drug, but can still be very harmful. I know there are folks that have been smoking weed all their lives and our perfectly functional. But something tells me their health and overall well-being would be better if they never used marijuana in the first place.
Absolutely not. The problem people have is overusing of everything. I personally do not know anyone addicted to marijuana. I did not take a hit for three years now. I do not feel like. It is total rubbish and bad propaganda that weed causes addiction. It is less dangerous from cigarettes , alcohol, cocaine, heroine and caffeine. All this counts if it wasn't cultivated with chemicals ( pesticides, fungicides, etc). it is also a well known fact that some parts of the plant are used as cure for many diseases. I really think that marijuana should be legal everywhere because you are not going to see an aggressive person on weed. Maybe a bit lazy but always with a smile and never up to violence.
I think that, according to my friends' experiences, marijuana is addictive in the sense that it gives this very calm and relaxed feeling, like a mild version of heroin. After relaxing you start to feel like there's not a single problem in the world and in todays society that feeling is quite rare. So, obviously the person goes on to want more of that relaxing feeling and the prices will start going up and so on. But, if the person using marijuana realizes this then there won't be a problem whatsoever.
I believe that anything that causes addiction and some psychological reactions in your brain is called a drug.
