Most of the college students love to take drugs during studies.
College students use drug at night as they think that drugs helps as to fresh during studies .
    Discuss about this major problem.

Maybe something is getting lost in translation here but I'm pretty sure that whilst some college students might use drugs to help with their studies, the majority don't.

There are certainly many cases where students might take Adderall or similar drugs in order to stay up studying, or to help them hold down a job as well as full time study.

Everyone has their own way of coping with their problems. Some drink, others smoke or do crazy stuff. If they are aware of the risks involved, then who are we to judge them about their life choices? In the end, they will be the ones suffering the consequences. I think most of us have done it at some point in our lives. The difference lies in where the limit is drawn, that's all.

Here in my country, drugs have never been used for studying purposes alone. When I went to college, the brainiacs and geeks I knew of never bothered with taking drugs to help them focus, even those average students. Drinking alcohol and taking drugs are just merely for fun here.

I have seen that here too in New Zealand where I live, and also some may be misguided by moives or the media and think this is the way to cope with studying in college. I wish they, wake up and see what can happen and also the influence from friends and the wrong crowd can lead to them making bad choices which I have seen a lot when I was in school as well. I reckon that, people need to make sure they are not taking the wrong sort of drugs and also it is not mixed with other things as well.

I don't think it's as much a problem of kids taking them to be more focused but rather more a statement of some inefficiencies in the educational system. Often students are forced to memorize tons of information that they will probably just forget or never use so people feel pressured to force it into their minds, whereas a much more efficient and effective system would focus more on developing analytical skills of people instead of memorization and that doesn't necessitate as much brute force and rather just a bit of tutoring to understand problem solving a lot better.

A number of college students use drugs not because they believe they [the drugs will help] with their studies but due to peer pressure. If the "cool" kids in college use drugs and you want to be be "in" with the "cool" crowd then you'd have to do what they do and that would include drugs. It's something most college students ought to expect and for that reason should be prepared to resist.

I would not say that most of them do, some of them do because of various factors but I would not say most of them, I never did and none of my friends ever did and only a small number of people in my year did. I think the ones that do tend to make everyone tar the ones that don't with the same brush.

Well, I guess so. If they let these drugs get the best of them, then surely it will become their addictions. That's why they should practice self-discipline/self-control. Everything that is used/consumed too much is dangerous.

In my country, there are plenty of students who use drugs during exam periods. Some use it to get high during exams and some use it to cope with anxiety. I know lots of students who use heroin constantly.

There was a time a test was conducted in school due to some leaked information. They found high amounts of heroin in the student’s blood stream.

But there is a many things to do for fun.
Alcohol drinking and taking drugs is no a part of fun it is only a bad addiction.
It gives bad health nothing else.
Students take drugs to focus on studies but this is a wrong way to focus on studies.

Well, it's fun for them because drugs give them some sort of pleasure. But yeah, taking drugs should never be a method for students to focus on their studies.

Is it really drugs they are taking or specific medication that helps one to focus and concentrate? There are many medications which will energize you and help to keep you alert and awake during study time. I don't know of anyone who does this and have never heard of this. I can also say that there has never been a shortage of drug addicts in my county, but not drugtaking for study purposes.

They take drugs not specific medicine to focus no studies . They take drugs at night because after taking drugs sleep is go far and they able to study at nights. But this is no good way to focus on studies.

I thought I was convinced about the use of drugs for late night studying @thisizznaveen. But, before deciding on how harmless and beneficial any drug is, being educated about it must be a priority. To be safe than sorry. As a smart college student, you would, as well.

Perhaps, the info below may enlighten you further. My college friends made it to the Honors' List without the drugs. And I wouldn't mess around with drugs. Care to read it?

"Twenty year old suffers heart attack after isolated use of Adderall

The study, published in the March-April edition of the Journal of the American Board of Family Medicine, reports the case of a twenty year college freshman who had been diagnosed with ADHD two years earlier and prescribed 15 mg Adderall XR to be taken daily. He had not taken the drug on any regular basis and had not taken it at all for weeks before his cardiac event. He had been staying up late studying every night and drinking a relatively small amount of alcohol before going to bed. The night before his admission to the hospital, instead of going to bed, he had taken two Adderall (30 mg) to keep himself awake to study for an exam. Later that afternoon, he developed chest pain and pressure which stayed with him and necessitated his parents taking him to an emergency room 24 hours later."

In my country, it's quite uncommon, but there are people who take drugs to study, it's undeniable. But I don't really see how drugs could help us study ( except opium, probably ) more than giving addiction. I really don't.
We must really better hierarchize our priorities.

I feel like everyone is different and whatever may work for them may not work for you. I used to work with an ex-boyfriend of mine and he claims that smoking weed before working helps him to stay focused cause it makes him look at everything. However, when I smoke weed, I get lazy, playful, not in the mood to work. So it just depends on the person.
