Heroin is quickly overtaking both weed and meth as the popular drug in many suburban areas...not just urban areas anymore. I live in a large metro area where you can drive from the heart of the city to rural areas in about an hour. Weed has always been popular, like in most cities. My state and area was also meth capitol of the world about 5 years ago. It was one of the first areas to start logging and tracking purchases of Sudafed because meth was being manufactured so heavily in the rural areas. It was a complete epidemic. But now, heroin has become the popular drug for teens and young adults in the nicer areas of the suburbs. It was always thought of as kind of a 'ghetto' drug but now it's getting almost as popular as weed. We even have billboards going up all over with the death %s from it and other facts. I feel like more and more people are going to be battling this drug as it grows out of control.
