So Suboxones Elimination half-life refers to the amount of time it takes for half of a single dose of a drug to leave the body. For buprenorphine, this period lasts for 37 hours, meaning that it can take over8 days for Suboxone to no longer be detectable in a person's body. If I have been on suboxone for 2 years, will it take me longer than 8 days to completely rid myself of this drug ? Need help, constantly trying to stop but it's like im spinning my tires. I will beat this addiction though, and when I do nothing in the entire world will be able to slow me down. Screw the pharmacies and screw the doctors who do not actually care about your well being .

@Joe T. To answer your question I personally don't know specifically, but i don't think that has anything to do with your actual detox time.you may piss clean but i think detox time depends on your dose and what you were on before and how much and how long as your internal organs have become dependent on the substance and actually needs it to operate normal which makes cold turkey detox very hard and potentially deadly.I recommend you ask a drug specialists and your Dr about how to beat this.I hope this helps.Stay Strong and God Bless.

@Joe T.... Unfortunately, I can't answer your question, either. I'm not a medical doctor or scientist or anything. Definitely think about finding an addiction specialist and asking them about it. An addiction specialist can also help you wean off the Suboxone safely, with minimal withdrawals. That's something worth looking into, no?
