@Traci3098 hi there. thanks for sharing. i'm glad you are off methadone... i have not tried suboxone.... maybe someone else will pop in with their experience. are you able to discuss this with your doctor perhaps? or a substance abuse specialist.... i'm sorry you are struggling right now.... i know withdrawals don't last forever, if you can keep that in mind.
@Traci3098 Coming off methadone is just as hard as coming off heroin. Suboxone is probably a better alternative to methadone but you will withdrawal from the suboxone as well, although I can say the the cravings and withdrawals are not nearly as consuming as those from methadone. I suggest you go to an outpatient program that will give you the correct dose of suboxone according to the amount you use and will monitor you as you slowly ween yourself off of it. It can be done, even though it is hard. My girlfriend struggled with heroin addiction for four years and a successful detox from both heroin and suboxone have saved her life. My only suggestion is that you don't try to do it yourself. Good luck hun.
@Traci3098 how are you doing? perhaps you can check out a clinic that can offer some help for the cravings... an outpatient? if you get a chance, let us know how you're doing..
