    I guess everything that is inhalable and also gives you certain feelings can be addictive, no doubt about that. Inhaling chemicals can actually be more detrimental than drugs in the long run, sadly - at least when you take drugs you kind of know what's in there.

    When I was growing up, the main thing that was a problem were spray paint cans. They were so accessible that young people would spray the paint into a plastic bag and then breathe it in. Eventually the government passed laws restricting the sale of spray paint cans to people over 18 years old because it was becoming so much of a concern.

    I haven't heard of anyone being addicted to inhalants nor getting high from substances that do not have this effect in the first place. This addiction is more frequent among poor people and teenagers, as they don't have the money to buy actual drugs. It's odd, though.
