Has anyone heard of the use of Kratom as a substitute for meth? It is a medicinal drug from Asia that has mild intoxicating effects. It may be used as a club drug as well, but so far does not seem to be as dangerous as Molly, K2, Spice or meth itself. I had never actually heard of Kratom being used with meth addicts but supposedly it is.

Kratom is a natural plant, a lot of people mistake it for something like K-2 type research chemicals. It's legal in the US, it's used as a painkiller and to treat opiate withdrawal. I'm sure it could be abused but it's mild, nothing like meth.

Right I think that it is being heralded as a meth substitute in some circles and as a "club drug" or internet drug in others. To be honest I never even heard of the substance until I started writing an article on it, and then I found out a bit about it.
