New legislation has been introduced in the UK over the last few days, to ban the sale and distribution of legal highs. The bill, which was published yesterday, makes it illegal to produce, sell, distribute or supply any psychoactive substance and makes possession of legal highs now illegal. The new legislation makes substances such as salvia divinorum, laughing gas (nitrous oxide) and synthetic marijuana illegal. It is also illegal to supply, sell, distribute, possess or produce any new psychoactive substances regardless of their current legal status. Those breaking the law under the new legislation may face a prison sentence of up to seven years.

I'm glad that the UK government is proactive about this. I think other governments should step up and follow UK's lead. What do you guys think?
