@cowboy... Welcome to the community, my friend. Just so I have this straight: Your son and friends are addicted to meth? Please clarify.

As far as help for substance abuse goes, if you look online you're bound to get phone numbers and links to treatment centers. If that's not something that can help your situation, perhaps trying to get your son/friends to see an addiction specialist would be a good thing. They can assess a person's situation and recommend the best course of treatment.

The thing is, the person with the addiction has to be at least somewhat willing to accept help. If they're not, you'll just be spinning your wheels. It doesn't matter how much we want someone to change; they have to be the one who wants to change for anything to be truly effective.

Maybe give us a little more background on your son/friends. It might help us understand the situation a little better.

We're here to help and support you however we can.

Hi there, welcome to the forum! It sounds like you are a bit frustrated, as Dean said I think you should really try to clarify, so we can try and help you the best we can. We need some details first though, so please elaborate a bit more. If you are looking for online support, then you have come to the right place. There are other helpful sites as well, but first we need to know more about your situation.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I hope you are able to find the help that your son needs and that you are able to help him get clean. It is so sad and frustrating to watch our loves ones struggling with an addiction. I will say a prayer.

You sound like you are pretty much exasperated. I request you to elaborate the entire story please. Post the complete story here and we will definitely help you out. You should motivate your son. On the internet, you can find many stories which you can read and this will help to boost your son's will power. I just wish that you are to help your son and friends with Methamphetamine addiction.

Well you have to start somewhere cowboy and using the 800 numbers at the top of the page are a good way to begin. YOu could also look for meetings online or in your community. I know how exasperating it is to try to help a family member with a drug problem. Sometimes it just seems like you can't cope.
