My son almost died

He was smoking meth and living in his car with his girlfriend. He was in trouble with the law and was so skinny I believed he was on the brink of death. I found a non-profit long term treatment center for him, and begged him for months to go. He finally went, and has been clean and happy for over a year now. I am so blessed that I found this place.

That's wonderful news. I'm glad to hear you got your son back. I'm extremely happy for your son and you, his family.

@Onceaddicted77 so you aren't allowed to name the place that saved your family member or your life as it is considered advertising? That may take money out of AAC treatment centers? Are these the same people who let our moderators go? Just goes to show they don't care about saving people only the almighty dollar.

The problem was it was a video advertisement link. An infomercial. There is no advertising at all allowed.

I apologize for unintentionally breaking the rules. I am so overwhelmingly thankful that my son has finally found peace, and I can see a light in his eyes again. The John Volken Academy gave him that. It's a not for profit so I didn't think sharing what I found would do anything but help more people who are struggling. He is doing so good and I am so proud of him. It has been a dark road. There were a couple of times when I didn't think I would get him back. He has a long way to go but I have hope now. Thank you all for listening and caring.

Meth is very dangerous. It is good that your son is recovering but I witnessed many youngsters who are unable to fight against meth addiction.
