Been weaning myself off of suboxone since February. I’m doing this with the help of a doctor. I’m down to 4mg from 16mg. This has got to be the worst crap to get off of. Because of my age of 58, I felt rehab may not be the best thing for me. I was on 30mg of oxycodone 6-8 times a day from being rear ended 4 times in two years. Couldn’t take what the meds were doing to my health and the fact that they barely touched the pain at that point. I tried kratom first but it didn’t help. I know I can finish getting off of the subs, but have finally decided to try the comfort meds to finish getting off of the subs. Has anyone had any luck with these meds? Are they really worth trying or should I continue without them. The only other thing I take is multi vitamins and schisandra for sweating. Also the medical marijuana has helped.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Only the specialist can give you the most qualified advice on this question. It is really very individual, and such drugs should be discussed with the attending physician after passing the tests. My uncle takes for this goal, but they selected together with his doctor, which is better for him. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend potent psychotropic drugs. They are addictive, and then hard to get off of them. But their use entails many side effects undesirable for the body.
