Before I even get out of bed, I thank God for all the good things in my life. I know it sounds corny, but a quick recognition of what is going right makes those things that are not right less important. I find that starting the day right with positive thoughts makes it a more positive day in general.
I'm not so into the "god" thing but I do thank the universe for blessings, and send out some grateful positive vibes when I get up.
I don't believe in religion or gods but I agree it's best to start your day off right by focusing more on your blessings than what is lacking or wrong. Although, it would be unrealistic to expect to have such a mood everyday so it's probably also healthier to not put too much pressure on yourself to stay positive daily either. The most logical way to go about it would be to try but at the same time also accept that some days might be sadder than others.
I do not think it sounds corny. I think it is just right to give thanks to God first thing in the morning for letting us still live another day. Having a good start can help us make our whole day a good one.
The first thing I do when I get out of bed is run. I quickly put on my running clothes and shoes and go for a run outside. Running helps me think. The first thing I usually think about is being thankful for still being fit enough to run. If I hadn't stopped my addiction when I did, I don't think I'd be walking, much less running.
I agree with you on this. This morning I realized that I haven't been paying much attention to all the blessings I actually have in my life and all the things that despite me are going extremely well. I think that taking time out to have a grateful and thankful heart definitely does go a long way in a person's life and changes come along easily! Thanks for the inspiration.
Praying in the morning and actually asking God to keep temptations out of your way can be helpful. At the very least you'll be able to resist temptations because you believe that you are getting help from "above." I believe that it's probably one of the best ways to start your day because your faith will imbue with confidence to face anything you face.
I agree with you by starting your day off right. I know I start my day in seeking GOD in prayer and reading the bible. It really helps because he said in his word if you keep your mind on him he will keep you in perfect peace.
The first thing I do every morning before I even get out of bed, is to be aware of my environment. I listen to the birds around me, the sound of the cars in the distance somewhere, the noises my neighbors make, and I thank the universe for having a comfortable bed, a home, food and people around me who care about me. I then continue making breakfast, being aware of all the smells and other sensations that accompany all my early morning activities, before I start thinking about my daily chores.
I think many people start their day off the wrong way. I am guilty of not waking up every single day and thanking God for what He has given me. I have recently fallen completely out of that habit and it is not something that I am proud of. Thank you for the wake up call(no pun intended).
Starting the day off is very important in my opinion. Having a bad start to your day can lead to a snowball effect, where it just builds up and ruins a full day for you, just from a bad start. I always make sure I start my morning off happy no matter how tired I am, by trying to keep a smile while getting ready for the day.
Everyday as I wake up in the morning the first thing that I am doing before I get out of my bed is to meditate and pray to God to thank Him for giving me a safe and good sleep last night and that I am offering to Him all what I will be doing for the day. This is how I am starting my day with a short prayer with positive thoughts and attitudes to do all my works and responsibilities for the day.
I do the same thing. I know that when you start the day by thanking God for all of the things that are going right in your life you give your brain a positive feeling and then you train your brain to look for the things in life that it could feel good about. This is something that is a part of my morning routine for years and it has been really beneficial to me.
Wake up on the right side of the bed and ease into your day with a positive, calm attitude. If you maintain this routine, it's likely that you can start relying on your inner energy and develop a healthy lifestyle.
I don't think that's sounds corny at all. Lately I've been thinking too much about how will start my day by thanking God.
It's not cheesy, whether or not you believe in God, which I do. I seem to start every day angry at myself for sleeping in. I think a prayer of thanksgiving is a much better alternative.
No, don't worry. It doesn't sound corny at all as it is just natural for humans like us to pray to God and be grateful to every little blessing He has given us. Praying is something we should always do, and we should never be ashamed of that.
Yes, to be thankful for the good things in our lives, helps us to be in a positive state of mind. And praising God for the good things is definitely beneficial to our souls well being.
I totally agree with starting your day off right. If you wake up and have a positive attitude from the very beginning and thank God for what you do have, that can definitely keep you staying positive throughout the day. You just have to have the right mindset if you want things to change or get better.
