    This may seem like an obvious thing, but often times, falling back into old friendships is so harmful for recovery. My cousin came back from his first stint in rehab and just started hanging out with the same people and relapsed soon enough. Thankfully, he moved to SF and is doing far better now.

    It's important to be around family and friends in recovery, but not at the expense of falling back into old routines that lead to addiction.
