This is my first post on any kind of forum like this. I've been struggling with cocaine use, and I recently realized it's getting out of control. I'm doing it on my own, on any night of the week. The past month I've done it almost every day. I'm spending so much money on it, and I don't know how to stop doing it. Feels out of control. I need some help, I can't honestly be open with my partner about it because she'll know I've been lying to her about it.

Can anyone give advice on how to stop the cravings and stop doing this?

Hi, @jen.... Welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing with us. I'm glad you want to stop using cocaine and I'm glad you reached out.

I don't have any personal experience with cocaine, so maybe someone who does will respond. But I would suggest that you find an addiction specialist and make an appointment with them. They can assess your situation and recommend the best next steps for you.

You may also want to consider attending an NA, AA, Cocaine Anonymous, or SMART Recovery (12-step alternative) meeting. Being among others who know exactly what you're going through and feeling can be super helpful and comforting. They may also be able to share some ideas with you about how to quit.

Please know that I'm sending you positive vibes full of hope. You can overcome this addiction. I know you can. And we will help and support you however we can.
