Have you ever been in the situation where you have taken drugs not knowing exactly what they were? This has happened to me in the past and it just shows how lost we are. We take anything in not caring about the consequences and we can be endangering our lives...
No, I have not taken any drugs that I do not know what it is exactly. It is scary to just take an unknown drug since it could be toxic. Better not to do that again and avoid any unwanted substances to be safe.
I have but only from my friends whom I know and trust. I'm sure they would never put me in a harmful situation and even if the situation is risky they will at least give me ample warning and the most important part is that they would never force me if I were uncomfortable with it.
I know one of my friends did that, and was passed out till the next afternoon had to go to hospital it was a good thing he survivied and did not face any internal injuries. I hope that people don't get mixed up in this as taking the wrong drug can lead to bad consequences and also it can cause problems for the person and also family too. I would never put myself in the process, and also it would be said to get addicted to this unknown drug and also a bad choice that can have bad choices that can ruin a life as well and need to be aware of what you are taking.
The fact is that when we submit ourselves to that sort of behaviors we never know what will come next, we are left at the destiny and not of our good judgment. Looking back now I see how lost I was and at the same time how fortunate I was that nothing bad happened.
I have never consciously taken any drugs without knowing what they were but looking back on things, I didn't have a clue what was really in them. OK, I might have thought I was doing coke and E but what was actually in it?
Can't say that I have - but I imagine in a huge number (the majority, I would think) of cases, the drugs people take are just made in a backyard lab or something -- so you have no way to vouch for the substances they contain, or how pure the drugs themselves are. I have heard of drug analysis being done on substances and them being cut with things like laundry powder, for example. It's pretty scary when you put it like that. If drug use didn't present enough dangers as it is, the fact that you may not know what you're ingesting is very frightening.
Pretty much, we don't know what we are taking in because we are consuming illegal substances that have no sort of concerns about our health, but just the concern of getting us high, so ultimately we never know exactly what we are consuming.
I don't tke things without knowing what they are. If you are at a point where you don't even pay attention and takr anything to see if you can feel better, then there is a porblem and this action is very dangerous. You should never take anything without knowing what it is or how you may react to it. You could be alergic to something for all that it matters.
When I was about 17 my father gave me a bump of white powder. I don't really know what it was, presumably coke or meth. It had a "upper" affect on me, and while I think I may have not snorted the full amount, it did make me feel like crap for a few hours. I'll never do that again. No excuse, but I figured if dad gave it to me it wasn't going to kill me. WRONG!
I have a huge fear of not knowing what could happen...so I don't take anything unless I know exactly what something is, and who is giving it to me.
I haven't tried taking in any kind of drug or substance without knowing first what it really is. Even with the food I buy especially if it comes from another country, I usually take the time to read the ingredients on the label. I guess I have this paranoia of taking in toxic chemicals from the things I put into my mouth without my knowledge.
I am really sorry to hear about this Nick. So your father gave you drugs? What the hell was he thinking? Talk about bad parenting... How did you manage to get out of that being only 17?
I have a small handful of times. This was in situations where I may have been drunk and my inhibitions were lowered and I felt I could trust who I was around, or when I was younger, and desperate to get high, and uneducated about the dangers of taking something that may not be what people told me. You can really trust no one, because even if someone gives you something that they are even convinced of what it actually is, the person they got it from could have been lying or misinformed. The only true way to know is to use test kits. I cannot stress this enough. I do not see enough people testing before ingesting, and it is really dangerous. On the other hand, there are some people who don't care, who will do whatever drug, even if they know it is a research chemical. Some people even like and prefer research chemicals. I do not recommend this to anyone, as RC's have not actually been thoroughly researched, and we do not yet know all of the dangers and effects of each one.
Well, my father is no picnic. Biker, jail, etc... I was living with him right after highschool and it was just a bad situation all around. We would drink/smoke together a lot, finally I just got my own place and moved on. Nothing significant, just grew out of it quick.
My policy is if you don't know what it is, can't confirm where it comes from and there's no FDA seal on the package, then don't buy it. Exercising caution is highly necessary especially when you're taking synthetic substances for your body. Even organic produces are not something you can overestimate.
I am really happy to see you managed out of it and with the will to help others in similar situations. I do think it's a big deal because parenting is another thing and I give you all credit for turning it around.
