So i used to be a crack addict, was clean 10 years, and then ended up using meth after some personal trauma.

I hadnt done very much I dont think. I certainly havent displayed any signs of addiction but, regardless of all that, i went in to work today still high on meth.

And when i had to pee, it started off normal and then halfway through it just stopped even though my penis still felt like it had plenty of pee left to dispense.

14 hours later, im still kinda high, coming down, and im peeing a little more than i was before but im still very irritated. Cant sleep or relax bc of the sensation that i have to pee.

Should i have just been drinking more water? I can go pee a few dribbles into the toilet and then im prevented from continuing. Do i just need to flush? Who has gone through this and how was it resolved?

@Callicles hey there. i have no idea. i'd see a doctor. it could be the drugs... but it very well could be something else. i do hope you'll be able to stop using meth... never know what you're putting in your body really. very dangerous. scary.

we are here for you should you need, but yes, maybe seek medical attention to be sure it's nothing serious.

@Callicles... We're not medical doctors, so we can't really answer your questions. My advice is to see a urologist ASAP. Like @Dominica said, your issue could be related to your drug use...or it could be something else; something more serious. Your symptoms definitely aren't normal, so I would get checked out by a doctor. You don't want to take a chance with something like this.

Hope you get things sorted out ASAP. Come and talk to us anytime. We're here to help, support, and encourage you...no matter what.

Amphetamine also induces contraction in the urinary bladder sphincter, the muscle which controls urination, which can result in difficulty urinating. This effect can be useful in treating bed wetting and loss of bladder control. The effects of amphetamineon the gastrointestinal tract are unpredictable.

A urologist told me. It’s usaaly a day or two? Drinking water also is a must. It dehyrdates your body, so I buy peiiayte or Pure ccnonut water. First time I chugged the 8pz bottle so fast that no air wen in and bottle crushed inInwads

Hey just don’t force it because it’s like a garden hose stuck under a tire. Pressure can hurt. I took my iPad and read the news or catch up on emails and waited for the slow trickle to end. Sometime it’s just a tinkle if u had little fluid intake because ur dried up. Sudafed...hello? My face used to tighten and lips cracked. If you had fluids, don’t think it’s over being drained thinking in a normal pee timeframe. Sitting actually helps because I took my mind off it doing stuff like reading, snacking, facial, etc. The 5-10 min waiting was productive.

The problem that you describe can be a sign of many diseases. First of all, it is better to go to the doctor and do some examinations and health tests. But most like meth provokes this. My cousin also had such urinary retention, but it was cystitis. So, his doctor prescribed antibiotic treatment for him and Shockwave Therapy for ED. It helped her very fast. But it is essential do not to postpone the problem and solve it as quickly as possible. The longer you tighten, the more difficult it will be to cure afterward.
