What exactly are they? They both seem to be becoming rather popular around here. I'm told by some that they're not much different than actual marijuana. I've also heard that they contain a much higher concentration of thc. Has anyone had experience with either or know anything about them?

I never heard of them. Maybe they are just different names for pot which already has at least half a dozen names already. Maybe some younger peple on here or those who are more "hip"" thne I am would have an idea what it means, I am drawing a blank as far as that goes.

They're not different names for marijuana. That much I do know. I've seen the wax before and it looks like, well ear wax basically. Pretty disgusting looking in my opinion. Definitely not like anything I recall seeing when I was using.

Never heard of "Wax and Shatter" before, seems like something that's probably known in the U.S more than anything.
I wonder why people prefer it over Marijuana or other drugs. Maybe it's cheaper?

Not to my knowledge but I've never asked or attempted to buy it. From what I am told, it's higher concentrated or something. A lot stronger than any marijuana plant you can get. I know the dispensaries in Colorado sale it but I've never gone there either. I only know it exists because of a friend of my sons.

Never even heard of the terms wax or shatter before. Usually I try and keep myself relatively informed about things like that, but I haven't heard of it at all here.

These are marijuana concentrates, they can contain up to 80% THC or so where the plant material contains around 20%. One of the best reasons some people prefer this is because it is more easily used in cooking or vaporizing, which is less harmful than smoking. Of course another reason is because it is more potent, so it really depends on the user.

Good to know. Thank you for the knowledge. Do you know if the price differs or it just really depends? Are there different "strains" like you'd find with marijuana? Also, how is it less harmful using a vapor than rolling up a joint or loading a bowl?

This kind of sounds like a form of hash to me. They probably could use this for medicine in some form. Ive never even heard of this before. There's different types of ways to take THC these days, this one seems interesting.

I used to be an avid "dabber" and it got to the point where I wouldn't even get high anymore. Then I went a couple days without doing it and after doing a large dab, I found myself in a panic attack and anxiety that lasted over a week! Marijuana has already been cultivated to the point where THC is so high, I don't see any need for making it even more concentrated. In my opinion and experience I have found out that CBD dabs work wonders and relieve anxiety. CBD is the non-psychoactive ingredient in marijuana that cures people from epilepsy and seizures.

It's not that "Wax and Shatter" is more preferred but you know people's mentalities and they're probably just joining the bandwagon. Like if someone says, "Oh, there's a new drug in town" so everyone flocks to the dealer and give it a go.
