Absinthe - more than 70% alcohol. Tea spoon, sugar cube on it, dip it in absinthe, light it up, wait until it starts disolving, put it in shot glass full of absinthe, mix, drink Enjoy that "burn" feeling. Really warms you up.
Whisky and tequila are the worst shots for me and I avoid them at all costs. They don't just get me drunk, they get me super nasty drunk. Never again!
A friend of mine gets drunk off of beer rather than hard stuff. It really is weird to hear him talk about how the hardest stuff does not phase him, but after one or two beers, he is tipsy as ever.
I never paid much attention to how quickly I got drunk, but I suspect it may have been gin that got me drunk the fastest. I also know rum tended to mess me up the worst. When I’d go on my drunken depressed rants, it was always when I was drinking rum. Not really sure why. Vodka never did it, tequila never did it, whiskey never did it, but rum… every time.
I had a friend like that once, too. He could pound shots like they were water, but a couple of beers and he’d be tipsy, then out like a light. And I agree, it was quite a bizarre sight.
This is a hard one, I once drank two bottles of tequila plus a few other drinks then passed out. Rum and whiskey seems to get me drunk quick. Vidka not so fast... beer and wine not at all, unless I drink a ton of them. I can no longer stand tequila tho... it disgusts me just to think about it, specially if it's mixed with grapefruit soda. It must be because that is what I drank the last time I got drunk and had the worst hangover ever. NEVER again.
Most of the folks I have met also claim Rum was the worst for them, most of them were males, so I found it kinda odd. I did notice rum got me drunk fast, but I think whiskey did it was well. Never felt like trying gin, now thinking about binge drinking disgusts me, must be because I now link drinking too much with feelng sick to my stomach.
Whiskey, just the smell of it get's me a little drunk... LOL. There's also this mix drink called F*** Me Blue or Blue MotherF***er that always went straight to my head!
I'm not an avid alcohol drinker and my experiences with alcohol are few and far between. The last time I got dead drunk in a matter of minutes was when I gobbled up 4 shots of tequila (and I had no one but my self to blame). So I blacked out at the women's comfort room to the dismay of my friends. I drank 2/3 of a pitcher of margarita and nothing happened to me. The same with red wine. So in conclusion, tequila is something I should avoid altogether.
It kind of did seem unnatural, yeah. I was the type who’d never get tipsy off beer, just vaguely sleepy, so I guess it’s all in how we metabolize the alcohol.
I don't think that's how it works. There actually isn't any "type" of alcohol it is all the EXACT same alcohol chemical. The "types" come from the method of production and what is contained in the drink besides the booze. However I have heard that mixing it with carbonated beverages increase the absorption rate. But why would you want to get drunk faster? It only takes mins for that crap to get to your bloodstream and as well you are only increases your chances of something bad happened. An old drinking buddy (I say old, I don't associate with that group anymore) used to say: "Pace yourself, this ain't highschool."
Well I had my first alcoholic drink last month for a friends graduation party for getting through adult school. I drank a Corona light and it made me think of wine which I was disappointed. I had finished the beer, but I did not think it was that great maybe since I am not like a social drinker like some people are.
Definitely not the only one! It’s one reason I never really bothered drinking beer, I only liked a few brands and I didn’t particularly relish just feeling sleepy.
I called it unnatural because you would think that stronger stuff would get you more drunk rather than beer. I know a lot of people who just doze off after drinking, so to each his own.
