Probably elaborating a bit on your concerns or own experience/stories heard about support groups would help you to get other members coming to share some of those stories.
Alcoholics Anonymous is probably one of the places where you can find loads of compelling stories that help people to get engaged in their support groups, as they help each other, and therefore the inspiring source for many other twelve-steps support groups, which guidelines are set upon those of AA
