Welcome to the DrugAbuse.com Community! Our Story: We created this community to provide an open, compassionate environment for people seeking support and guidance for substance abuse related issues. We are an expanding community of people from all walks of life who have experienced the ill-effects of drug abuse in our lives, either ourselves or with a loved one, or through working with others on a professional level. Our goal is simple: To help community members endure the devastating effects that substance abuse has on our lives and our communities through open dialogue and the exchange of ideas and support. Thank you for the welcome Joe C.. Unfortunately I've dealt closely with drugs all my life, so it's good to find a community where we can discuss the topic.
Welcome to our new and growing community, Peninha! Please feel free to contact us if you have any site feedback or ideas. We want to hear from our new members what they would like to see in a community like this? Glad you're here!
Thanks guys, I am going to explore the community a little more and if I have any ideas or feedback I'll let you know. Looking good so far.

Welcome to the forum vdenay! Interesting to see that someone actually says that it's addicted to marijuana, most people say it's not addicting. Why do you say you're addicted?
I am very glad to find this community as well. It's good to have somewhere to go and get support and also to give support as well. The thing that makes these forums so helpful is the fact that most of the people you run into have gone thru the same thing or something very similar and wholly understand the feelings and emotions felt while dealing with this disease.
Yeah, that is a fact, we have all had our contact with the drug or alcohol addiction world, so we can help those who are in it right now.
As a college student, I feel the need to tell the open AA meetings I have been to about this site. I know a lot will benefit just from being on here. It is truly amazing to see this. My professor was just talking about how people are trying to find new ways to talk to someone online because at night time is when it is hardest for some addicts. Now I know where to tell them to go. I feel an amazing impact on a lot of people about to happen. This is truly amazing!!!!
I am glad you enjoy our community and in fact I think it can be a great help jack because people can be at home, sit at the computer and just type what's in their soul and ask for support.
Thank you for the awesome encouragement, jackslivi. Please feel free to tell others about our community, and know that we're always looking for new suggestions and ideas to make it a better, more useful experience for people. Thanks for your great contribution and let us know how we can help!
I hope you're doing well in your recovery, vdenayb23. Sounds like you've got the willpower to make some great changes in your life. The first month seems to always be the toughest for everyone with the marijuana. Just keep believing in your own path and find healthy options to fill the void. It's great to hear that we can be a helpful resource for you. Please feel free to reach out if you need any resources or just a sounding board. Thanks again!
Joe C. Thank you for the forum. I am new here and already loving it. The people here are great. I can share my feelings here without worrying about any consequences. And nice quote by the way.
Hello my name is Ashley, It's really nice to find and speak to people that understand know what I'm going through and I can't wait to get to know you guys more.
Thank you for the warm welcome Joe C! I have struggled with friends doing drugs and other substances ever since I got into high school. And I will try to use some of the new information I learn while using this forum to incorporate it in coping with this unfortunate predicament.
I must say that the information i have seen here is invaluable and i must commend those that have tirelessly contributed in this forum. The encouragement and motivation that is given to those who have been affected in one way or the other will go a long way in the healing process.
Hey, I just wanted to thank you for making this forum. I have just recently joined and I've already received lots of different advice by people who seem to understand me. I feel like this community is a great place to start if you want to feel understood and if you want to continue having positive thoughts.
