I will not be at rest now that i have found this community. I want to involve most people in it. The problem is that most of my friends do not have time to sit in front of their computers to learn all this cool staff. Anyone with an idea on how i could convince them?
@ellyjude... They can check us out on their phones, too. Seriously, though... Maybe just tell them that it's a great place to be around caring, non-judgmental people. And where they can safely talk about addiction and recovery openly and honestly.
Thanks for your advice @deanokat. I will definitely share this with them. In addition, most of them have great phones and i'm sure they will use it to their advantage once i tell them about the idea.
I hope you and your friends choose to use this forum to deal with whatever it is that you are. This is a great place with a lot of knowledgeable and supportive people. There are such very inspiring stories. This place has helped me so much.
I am the latest member in this community. I have been a prescription drug abuser in my teens. A friend of mine has died from drug overdose and I have an uncle who is alcoholic. I hope this community will be a good platform to share experience and learn how to help people who are trapped in addiction.
@Vinaya... Welcome to the community and thanks for sharing. We're glad you're here. Are you currently clean and sober, or are you still using? Just curious. Regardless, we are here to help and support you any way we can. Take a look around the forum and check out the various threads. I'm sure you'll find a lot of people you can relate to and help. Thanks again for joining us.
I'm kind of new to this community but it already seems friendly to me. That's the most important thing, actually. Hope I will be able to help someone out!
@loverman99... Welcome to the community, my friend! We are a friendly, caring group of people who are here to help and support people who are struggling. We will never judge anyone, either. So feel free to explore the various threads and comment wherever you'd like. I hope to see you around here going forward!
A warm welcome to the newest members. I think you will be glad you joined. As noted, there are some really good people here that are truly helpful, knowledgeable, caring, and supportive, so don't be shy. Sometimes, just knowing you're not alone is a big help. Here, you're not alone.
I think the forum has some great suggestions and some great people on it. It has certainly been enlightening to read everyone's comments and questions. Almost everyone here has great feedback and great suggestions. I am glad I got involved in this forum.
I think this forum is a perfect example of a damn fine public service out there. It is a good place for us tho sare our stories without being judged and being understood at the same time.
You most definitely deserve more than just thank you's for this kind act you have done. There are so many people who are either currently addicted, are in the process of becoming clean, are relapsing, or even people like me who have once been addicted and are trying every single day to stay clean. The fact that we all have a place to come together and help each other is amazing. I can never say thank you enough times. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
My heartfelt gratitude for creating this community. It will offer solace and a fresh lease of life to many in the throes of addiction. I was almost ruined by alcohol and cigarettes. My brother has never fully recovered from cannabis induced psychosis. I am glad to join this community.
Thank you Joe C. for this open forum. As opposed to the traditional round table discussions, such a forum is very convenient, more especially for those of us on full time jobs. I look forward to popping in during or after job, so as to read and share encouraging stories on common experiences.
