Would you even try cocaine?

Where I live, cocaine can be found in every corner of the street, for different prices, some being distant by about 50% one of another.
I find that people who want to take cocaine either seek it out of simple and natural curiosity, or because the entourage is stronger than their capacity to say 'no', even if they don't necessarily want to.
I was nearly convinced to try it once by a supposedly 'good' friend of mine. He said he had already taken it and that it would be the best experience for me if I tried it, as he implied he experienced his "best thing of his life". I don't know how one could claim this obliviously that drugs are even slightly acceptable, but anyway...
After having refused it, we never spoke to each other ever again, and I think that was the wisest - and rather easiest - decision I had ever made in my life.
If you were offered a free dose of 'joy', would you accept it?

I would never try cocaine. Cocaine is a powerful and harmful drug that once you get on it, it becomes very hard to get off.

I am honest when I say I have been curious about it. You hear about all the celebrities snorting coke and the party lifestyle that comes with it and who can resist, right? Its alluring that way. Not the drug so much but the FUN to be had because obviously those who do it seem to be living the life. But then the sober "me" comes back down to Earth and remembers that no drug is worth the struggle or the downward cycle. No party, no fun, nothing is worth that.
So no, I've never tried it. Thought about it. Got lost in the thought about it, and the got over it.

I will never try cocaine. My parents would kill me, and I'm just not too interested with it.

I don't think you should be more frightened about your parents knowing it more than the risks you expose yourself at, including the possibility of dying.
When I was proposed to try cocaine, I didn't refuse it because my parents would ultimately become aware of what I had done, but the risks of developing sequelae as a result of my actions.

Honestly, I would. I trust myself well enough to try things and know how to be responsible with it. I don't want to go through the one life I have constantly trying to avoid any experience just because I was told it was bad. I naturally want to see for myself so I can judge it more accurately. Of course this isn't true for everything as there are some things that even I wouldn't dare partake in, so I do understand that some people are hesitant when it comes to this, but honestly from what I have learned about it I don't think it's that destructive if you have a good head on your shoulders. It is no more or less risky to me than tasting great fatty food and possibly getting addicted and becoming obese or tasting alcohol and possibly becoming an alcoholic, by which I mean I wouldn't deprive myself of the experience by basing my decisions on fear, but rather I would just remind myself to be more responsible with it if it turns out to be to my liking, no matter what it is.

Under no circumstance would i accept to take any drug, leave alone cocaine. I believe we are well informed of the dangers of such drugs and only fools would try such a stunt. I admire your principles and morals even going to the extent of letting go of a relationship with your friend.

Honestly, letting go the relationship was the least of my problems, as I was more concerned about my health than these people who try to lure you into their neverending circle of bad habits and vices.
I would also like to mention that I've tried marijuana before, but I trusted it solely because it didn't cause any addiction whatsoever, and aside from that, it was very benefical for my body and mind, long-term wise. My conclusion is that some drugs are good for us, but taken moderately!

Cocaine is a waste of money. You'll blow $60 on an hours high.

I have tried both normal cocaine and crack cocaine (i.e. smoked it). To be honest I didn't think that much at all of normal cocaine, although I did have a buzz off it. Definitely a waste of money and it has it's dangers. Crack cocaine, however, was totally different and blew my mind straight away - pretty much hooked after the first time but not for long. That was a place I really didn't want to be in. My advice to you is NEVER ever be tempted to try that evil stuff, it's not worth the consequences!

Well, money isn't really an issue for me, as I really enjoy trying new things in life, no matter the cost. We all know cocaine's consequences, including death, or at least we've heard about it in some point of our life.
But, honestly, denying that I don't want to try cocaine gives me an unbearable urge to try it nevertheless, but I have more important ideals to live for through my life, so I will cease thinking about it, nor will I allow someone else to introduce me in this depraved world of addiction and vices.

Oh trust me, cocaine can cost you a lot more than your money and a lot more than death too. It can be worse than death! I think we all have that curiosity about what it's like to experience taking certain drugs. The thing is, we don't experience life naturally that way without taking them because we're not supposed to experience life that way. Also remember, it only takes one bad batch and it could all be over. Crack, on the other hand, is also kind of like playing Russian Roulette - it can cause asphyxia.

I've tried cocaine in the past and to be honest, maybe its just my mentality but I wouldn't say its highly addictive. The high you get is a nice feeling, obviously otherwise people wouldn't take it but for me personally its not a high that I crave and need to feel again.
I wouldn't take it again, but that's just because I have better things to spend my money on and the high you get doesn't justify the cost, or the risk you take by having it.

I would not take it if someone had offered it for free. I don't have a need for it in my life. If I want to get a quick buzz then I go and get a strong coffee. I don't see how trying a free sample will improve my life in anyways shape or form.

I think whatever detours you more power to it actually. I've tried cocaine. I've tried a lot of different drugs. Would I do cocaine today? Likely not. There's no deep scary reason as to why other than I've stopped doing the things I used to do when I was dumb & young. I escaped without as dramatic a story as the many I've heard over the years.

I, would never try it as it can ruin the body and also it can affect the mind which can make the mind get addicted to it and also for the health. I, don't think it using drugs as a recreation drug is good as the costs will catch up and leave you depressed or wanting more of it. I reckon, that this is not a good thing to be addicted to it and also should never be used as a friend it is ruining the body not helping it.

Curiosity killed the cat, my friend. Better to be safe than sorry. No I wouldn't try it. Not unless I was sure that I was to die tomorrow. If that was the case, all hell would break loose! ;)

I have tried it and trust me when I say it is not 'the best thing I've ever done in my life'. As a matter of fact I didn't even like it. I tried it about three or four times and didn't get what the buzz was about. Once I decided I really didn't like it I never tried it again and have never wanted to.

No, I wouldn't try cocaine. I was willing to smoking weed and even taking ecstasy. Actually, I didn't know the bad effects of ecstasy when I took them, so knowing now what I do I wouldn't if I knew it when I was younger. At any rate, the idea of snorting some powder in my nose irritates my nose just thinking about it.

It also has a very drug addict stigma around it. Whenever I think of cocaine I think of some drug dealer who is torturing some person or raping some person and then taking a few snorts of cocaine. Not a very pleasant thing to think about, but I have that image of it in my mind and I don't want to be that type of person. Marijuana is a little different, because whenever I think of Marijuana I think of That 70s Show, which is pretty funny. I don't do either, but in my mind cocaine has a worse connotation in my mind as opposed to other drugs like Marijuana.

No, I would not dare to try on this as I know how dangerous this drug is. So even if I am curious about it, I won't. I have seen what this drug can do to people. So I don't want to see myself being one of them.
