In 1998, my husband of 8 years introduced me to methamphetamine. Talk about Supermom! Thank God I never smoked or shot it, because that is apparently way more addictive than swallowing it in a cig paper. The day I heard my husband and some guys talking about how it was made, a year later, I was shocked! Pot was as much as I had seen or done until I was 25. After 6 months of trying to get him to stop using too, I decided that he was acting too different and aggressive and he wasn't going to stop, I loaded up my 3 kids, 8,6,and almost 2, our puppy Lucky and as much of our stuff as possible and headed home to Tennessee. That story goes on for a while before I divorced my ex husband, who is still using today July 2018!
When my 6 year old oldest son turned 15, I truly thought that his hormones were wild, and I couldn't trust him to not hit his brother or sister. By the time he turned 18 years old he was snorting xanax, and roxy, panda, whatever! My goodness a slap in the face! I thought that raising the kids not around that kind of stuff would fix my kids from ending up like their dad!! When he started getting in trouble with the law his father came and took him to live with him out of state! Im puking at that point! Sure enough, my son was on the meth by injection!!! I would have rather have thrown dirt on his grave then know that he was out doping, stealing, and just my goodness! Finally after 5 years, and I had to decide to let him and everything he was doing be handled by the only One who could. I let God have him and let God's will be done. I was broken and aged 10years. One week later he was arrested and had dope, warrants and other charges! God sat him down for 4 months in jail and 6 months in rehab. He has been clean over a year, has a baby and wife. Working hard like a man should!! God is good if we get out of His way!

Wow! Congratulations to your son, and to YOU for making it through those hard times! So glad that you didn’t have to throw dirt on his grave! I hope your other two kids dont have to wrestle with the addiction monster, but if they do, I’m glad they have you!
