I think that's the great thing about a lot of inspirational messages - they can really apply to anyone's life circumstance! I think as humans that drive for bettering ourselves is one of the most wonderful things in life, so I'm glad you're finding them useful! And hey - feel free to share any quotes that may inspire someone too!
Mine has always been 'IF YOU CAN DREAM IT, YOU CAN DO IT!" Thanks for all these truly inspirational quotes. I need to read them now and really stay focused on my life. Some simple little words can at times mean so much.
Here's another one I love: "When you stop chasing the wrong things, the right things have a chance to catch you".
My inspirational message for today: You need to be content with small steps. That's all life is. Small steps that you take every day so when you look back down the road it all adds up and you know you covered some distance. Thank you for that! I've been sitting on my butt and not chasing my dream, I needed that little push to keep me going! I'm gonna stop procrastinating right now!
This isn't a quote that's attributed to anyone famous but actually something a friend said to me a while back... "I'd rather have a life with purpose than be the life of the party". It really stuck with me!
"You have to make mistakes to find out who you aren't. You take the action, and the insight follows: you don't think your way into becoming yourself." --Anne Lamott
I really like this one @deanokat ! I really appreciate anything that puts emphasis on mistakes being a learning experience rather than something we can't move on from.

"Faith includes noticing the mess, the emptiness and discomfort, and letting it be there until some light returns." --Anne Lamott
These are some really great ones. I think they really apply to all areas of life, not just addiction or recovery. We all have problems, and we all need some inspiration. I think my favorite is still "Be kind to others; you don't know what struggles they face." I'm not sure where it comes from, but it's so true.
